From 5-11 February 2017, a total of 1,214 undocumented Afghans spontaneously returned or were deported from Pakistan through Torkham border (Nangarhar province) and Spin Boldak border (Kandahar province), Compare to last week it’s minor increase in return. Of the total, 1,007 were spontaneous returnees in family groups and 207 were deported individuals. This brings the total number of undocumented Afghan returnees from Pakistan to 8,300 since 1 January 2017. During the reporting period, IOM assisted 996 (82%) undocumented Afghan returnees from Pakistan, including 126 single parents and 92 special cases.
