The Migrants as Messengers (MaM) mid term report provides a detailed overview of the work done thus far across Guinea Conakry, Nigeria and Senegal and outlines the work ahead. The MaM project was developed in response to the Dutch government's request to pilot new and credible ways to inform migrants of the enormous risks they are undertaking when attempting to migrate irregularly to Europe via the Mediterranean. The core concept of MaM is to work directly with returning migrants to empower them to share with their communities and families an authentic and honest account of the challenges and adversities they experienced first-hand.
