During September 2016, the Iraq Internally Displaced Persons Information Centre (Iraq IIC) handled 5,511 calls, pushing the total number of calls handled by the call centre past 37,000. By the end of the month, 99.5% of cases were classified as closed.

For the second month running, the top three caller locations were Baghdad, Erbil, and Kirkuk, each accounting for 17% of the total number of calls. Salah al-Din followed with the fourth highest number of calls, with calls from there accounting for 14% of calls.
